If you are an older sibling!!!!!!!!
Be a good role model for your younger sibling/siblings. Be someone they can look up to, and go to for anything. Teach them things you have learned and show them it’s okay to make mistakes.
Seriously just be a good older sibling it is worth it! Not only do you get to see this younger human become happy and successful, but you can be proud to know you helped them become that person!
My little sister is my world, and I try to be the best role model for her. I know she looks up to me, I know she wants to be like me, so I try to be the best me I can for her.
Also when they achieve things, make sure you tell them they did a great job and you are proud of them! Yesterday I told my sister I was proud of her and she started crying she was so happy. It is a great feeling to be the source of her happiness. In addition to them achieving things sometimes they will fail, even when they try their hardest, so make sure you tell them that you see their effort, and you are proud of them for trying as hard as they do.
Never let them give up! Never let them down! Never put them down for things they say or do! Remember that they look up to you, they see what you do and they want to do it too! Never belittle them for “copying” you! I know sometimes it can be irritating to have a shadow, and sometimes you just need your own space, but in the end you will feel honored to be the person someone looks up to! Just do your best at being someone worthy of that honor.
